Tyra Jean is a data strategist and analytics leader focused on helping organizations turn complex data into clear, actionable insight. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to people, equity, and measurable impact. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Social Work (DSW) at the University of Southern California (expected 2027), where her research centers on systems change and community outcomes. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University—home to the nation’s #1-ranked MPA program—where she focused on public sector strategy and social impact.
Before founding Data Viz for Good, Tyra served as a Global Strategy & Operations Analyst at Gartner, where she built and scaled reporting infrastructure used by senior leadership to track performance and drive strategic decisions across global business units. She previously worked as a consultant delivering end-to-end data and analytics solutions for enterprise organizations, including Unilever and Ralph Lauren.
Across her work, Tyra specializes in transforming fragmented, manual data processes into streamlined systems and compelling visual narratives—enabling organizations to better understand their performance, communicate their impact, and make smarter, data-driven decisions. She founded Data Viz for Good to bring this same level of rigor and clarity to nonprofits, equipping them with the tools to compete for funding, tell stronger stories, and maximize their impact.
